About the Breast Cancer Network of Strength

Inform, Empower and Support

The Breast Cancer Network of Strength™ (formerly known as Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization) is a Chicago-based non-profit that works to ensure no one faces breast cancer alone. To fulfill this mission, the Network of Strength provides information, empowerment and peer support through:

A Comprehensive Website

Instant research and peer support at www.networkofstrength.org.

YourShoes™

A 24/7 breast cancer support center staffed by breast cancer survivors who know firsthand what it’s like to walk in the shoes of someone who is facing the disease.

Survivor Match Program

Hotline callers can request to be paired with a peer counselor who faced the same diagnosis, is the same age or has experienced similar challenges.

Partner Match Program

Through the Network of Strength Hotline, the program provides support and education for people while they are supporting a wife, partner or other loved one through the disease.

Wig and Prostheses Assistance

Every year, the organization provides nearly 500 wigs, prostheses and mastectomy bras for the women who need them most.

A Day for You

A Day for You is an all-day event where participants learn about earlier detection methods, are taught breast self-examination and receive clinical breast exams.

Local Affiliates

Breast Cancer Network of Strength has a growing network of affiliates and satellite locations throughout the United States. These offices provide breast health and breast cancer resources in local communities.

Visit The Network of Strength’s website and discover stories of those touched by the organization over the past 30 years.
